Clippard Products Assist in Processing of Chickens

Category:

Chicken ProcessingApplication Story Published by Clippard Instrument Laboratory, 1982

Freshly slaughtered chickens are processed in a unique application at a major food company. A tube is inserted into the chicken, and the operator covers a hole on a hand piece with his thumb to actuate the device. A powerful vacuum is applied which evacuates the interior of the bird. The vacuum is turned off and a water cleaning spray washes the interior area. Clippard valves and controls regulate the complete cycle that takes less than 10 seconds. A pressure pilot system is used to actuate the remote valves by covering the bleed hole in the hand-piece that serves to eliminate clogging of the apparatus.
